Beaucarnea stricta
' Estrellas '

[ Agavaceae ]
[ Mexico ]
A breathtaking plant from the Mexican states of Puebla and Oaxaca, where it grows in dry deciduous forest. It forms a large trunk with a greatly inflated base, usually not branching before it reaches quite some height and carrying dense rosettes of narrow, stiff, blue green leaves.
